Aplastic Anemia Awareness Week
Julia's story and the work of the Julia's Wings Foundation was recently featured in the Danbury News Times on March 4, 2016 during Aplastic Anemia Awareness week! The article was instrumental in shining a light on the families and children that are currently fighting the disease and our efforts to make a difference. We continue to be humbled and grateful to all our volunteers and supporters who have joined us in this journey to create hope where none previously existed.

Julia’s Wings Foundation Receives Grant -
'To help us help others'
Julia’s Wings Foundation is truly honored to be 1 of 10 grant recipients at the 2015 Children's Medical Fund Luncheon held in October in Boston, MA. Since its inception, the National Philoptochos has raised close to $3 million dollars for the CMF and awarded close to $2.9 million in grants to hospitals, research and 501(c)(3) non profit organizations like ours who assist children with critical and life threatening illnesses!
Each and every grant recipient in attendance is doing amazing work striving to improve the quality of life for these children. A huge thank you to Nitsa Carino for introducing us to the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society and the Metropolis of Boston Philoptochos. We are so grateful for the time and dedication of JWF board members, Annie Swanson and Bernadette Schopfer, who worked so hard to make this grant come to fruition. And to Julia, for your shining example of pure goodness and selfless acts of kindness… Yesterday’s honor is a true testament to everything you represent and what is and will always be the heart of Julia’s Wings. |
